The First Peace Summit for Ukraine will be held on June 15-16 in Bürgenstock (Swiss Confederation), following the January agreement between the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and the President of the Swiss Confederation, Viola Amherd.
On May 17, 2024 the Ambassador of Ukraine to Estonia, Maksym Kononenko, together with the Ambassador of Switzerland, Martin Michelet, handed over the original invitation to the advisor of the Prime Minister of Estonia, Liis Lipre-Järma, for the participation of the Prime Minister of Estonia, Kaja Kallas, in the Summit.
The summit will serve as a platform for dialogue on ways to achieve a comprehensive, just, and lasting peace for Ukraine in accordance with the UN Charter and the norms of international law. Heads of state and government from all continents are invited and expected to attend. All the invited parties have confirmed their respect for these principles.
