On 6 May 2025, Ambassador of Ukraine M.Kononenko took part in the international business networking event First Tuesday, held in Tallinn at the initiative of the platforms ImpactBuilders, the Ukrainian Business Club in Estonia, and PRnews.io.
The event was dedicated to the theme «How to Find and Motivate Top Talent for International Business», and brought together over 100 participants — including business representatives, investors, startup community members, and diplomats from various European countries.
Within the framework of the event, Ambassador Kononenko presented the Ukrainian Art Festival (https://ukufest.ee), scheduled to take place in Estonia later this month. In his address, he emphasized the importance of cultural diplomacy as a form of soft power that fosters deeper understanding between nations, and stressed the need to support Ukrainian artists during the challenging time of full-scale war.
The event featured the following speakers:
• Jan Lagast, Founder of ImpactBuilders
• Kateryna Levkivska, Founder of the Ukrainian Business Club in Estonia
• Annika Albert (Scoro) — spoke about building cohesion and team spirit across multiple locations, including offices in the UK and USA
• Marko Evolini (Markit) — shared his experience in maintaining unified direction while scaling a global team, including operations in the Americas
• Kateryna Mykhailova (Mergewise) — discussed the integration of diverse corporate cultures following mergers and international expansion
Participants of the networking event exchanged views on current challenges in managing international teams, particularly in the context of IT, digital business, and innovation. Representatives of companies such as Scoro, Markit, Mergewise, and others shared their experiences.
Such events contribute to the deepening of bilateral cooperation between Ukraine and Estonia, particularly in the areas of economy, innovation, and culture, and promote the integration of the Ukrainian community into the European business environment.
