On 12 June 2025, a solemn award ceremony took place in Tallinn during the General Assembly of the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in which the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Estonia, Mr. M. Kononenko, was presented with the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s 2nd Class Honorary Medal.

The award was conferred in recognition of his significant personal contribution to the development and strengthening of trade and economic cooperation between Estonia and Ukraine, his consistent support of business initiatives, and his active efforts in fostering new economic ties between entrepreneurs of both countries.

This recognition stands as further evidence of the high appreciation expressed by the Estonian business community for the efforts of Ukrainian diplomacy in advancing mutually beneficial economic partnership amidst new geopolitical challenges.
