Dear Estonians!

Sincere congratulations on the occasion of the Independence Day of the Republic of Estonia!

On this day, we, together with you, remember all the Estonians who fought for the freedom of your country, its statehood and independence.

It was on this day exactly two years ago Russia embarked on another conquest adventure, unleashing a full-scale war against Ukraine. Ukrainians and Estonians are well aware of the true essence of Russian imperialism, because both our history and yours know more than one example of Russia's insidious and aggressive policy. Therefore, it is very symbolic how, from the point of view of Estonian and Ukrainian history, the day of February 24 is now filled with meanings – by mutual efforts, we did not allow the course of history of the Ukrainian people, our region, and the whole of Europe to change in the direction of a new enslavement.

We are deeply grateful to the Republic of Estonia for its principled position and significant assistance in our country's fight against Russian aggression from the first days of the full-scale war, for its leadership in providing military and humanitarian assistance. It is very important for us that Estonia was the first country in the world to recognize Russia's criminal actions against Ukraine as genocide, fully supports the creation of an International Tribunal to investigate the crime of armed aggression of the Russian Federation in Ukraine and the implementation of the Ukrainian Peace Formula.

We thank all the Estonian people for making a choice two years ago – a choice in favour of the freedom and independence of Estonia and Ukraine in the family of free peoples of Europe.

We wish all Estonians peace, harmony and prosperity.
