In cooperation with the Trade House "Ukraine," the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Estonia organized the operation of the Ukrainian national stand during the Maamess 2024 fair, which took place in Tartu from April 18th to April 20th.
Maamess is one of Estonia's most powerful exhibition platforms. It combines four thematic exhibitions: an international agricultural exhibition, an international woodworking and forestry exhibition, a food industry exhibition, and a horticulture exhibition. Last year, the exhibition featured 445 stands from 9 countries, and over 45,000 people visited the 70,000 square meters of exhibition space. The figures for 2024 are being finalized, but thanks to Tartu's status as one of the cultural capitals of Europe, they are already promised to be significantly higher.
Ukraine was effectively represented by a separate national stand, which brought together Ukrainian companies such as Sambir Mlyn, Delta Food (Private Label, Huliai-Pole), Nova Poshta, Wines from Ukraine, Kotto Ceramic, Lviv Chocolate Workshop, and Old Lviv Coffee.
Ukrainian flour, chocolate, and pasta products were highly popular in Tartu. The participating companies not only showcased their goods but also sold a significant portion of their exhibition items, indicating genuine interest from Estonians in domestically produced goods. The event served as an excellent platform for networking and establishing new business connections, with the new business ties and contacts being the key to success in Ukrainian-Estonian cooperation in the agricultural and industrial sectors.
