On 23 July, in Tallinn, Counselor Inna Shcherban and First Secretary Maksym Kuvyklin met with children of employees of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine who had arrived in Estonia from frontline areas to participate in a special recreational and educational program.
During the meeting, Counselor of the Embassy I.Shcherban welcomed the young Ukrainians to the Estonian capital, emphasizing the importance of such initiatives, which offer children from war-affected regions the opportunity to experience safety, peace, and the warmth of human solidarity.
Ms. Shcherban also drew attention to the unwavering support that Estonian society has extended to Ukraine since the first days of the full-scale invasion, highlighting the crucial role of local authorities, civil society, and volunteers in assisting Ukrainian families.
After the meeting, the children received symbolic gifts — Estonian chocolate and souvenirs bearing national symbols — as mementos of their stay in Estonia.
The Embassy of Ukraine expresses its sincere gratitude to the Tallinn City Government, as well as all partners and volunteers, for organizing this meaningful initiative that allows Ukrainian children to momentarily step away from the reality of war, discover a new culture, and feel the support of the friendly Estonian people.
