Ambassador Mariana Betsa met with Commander of the Defense Forces of the Republic of Estonia, Lieutenant General Martin Herem.

Mariana Betsa informed Lieutenant General Herem about the current situation in Ukraine against the backdrop of Russia’s ongoing war against our country. The parties also discussed issues of regional security, as well as increased support for Ukraine from the EU and NATO. Ambassador thanked Estonia for providing unprecedented military assistance to Ukraine and expressed hope for the continuation of similar support in the future.

Ambassador Mariana Betsa personally congratulated Martin Herem on being recently awarded by the President of Ukraine with the State Order of Merit (II class) - for significant personal contribution to strengthening interstate cooperation, support of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine
