On July 7, 2023, the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Estonia, Maksym Kononenko, and the Embassy staff participated in the event organized by the Congress of Ukrainians in Estonia, “Ukraine in NATO - Security of the Free World,” which took place in Tallinn ahead of the Alliance Summit within the Ukrainian World Congress’ campaign to support Ukraine’s accession to NATO.

The participants of the event, including the leader of the Congress of Ukrainians in Estonia, Vira Konyk, and the professor of international law, Yevhen Tsybulenko, emphasized in their speeches the right of Ukraine to become a full member of the Alliance and the contribution of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to the defense of democracy and freedom on the European continent. The participants of the event chanted slogans in support of Ukraine’s NATO membership, accountability of those responsible for the crime of Russian military aggression against our State and expressed gratitude to Estonia for its comprehensive support and assistance to Ukraine in the fight against the Russian aggressor.
