Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha announced a new joint fundraising initiative, with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs joining the UNITED24 campaign aimed at raising USD 1.2 million to procure ten fully equipped ambulances for Ukrainian medics.

“Every new ambulance will help save thousands of lives,” Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha stressed, calling on everyone to support the fundraising campaign.

According to Andrii Sybiha, the previous fundraising initiative raised more than USD 790,000, or nearly UAH 35 million, over the past year for the procurement of ground robotic systems for Ukraine's defenders. The new campaign will now focus on strengthening emergency medical response capabilities.

“Every day, Russia terrorises civilians throughout Ukraine, killing and injuring innocent people in drone and missile attacks. In the aftermath of every strike, every second counts. Modern ambulances are not merely vehicles; they are mobile intensive care units that enable medics to deliver life-saving care before patients reach hospital,” Andrii Sybiha emphasised.

The ambulances to be procured as part of the fundraising campaign will be equipped with oxygen supply systems, mechanical ventilators, defibrillator monitors, capnographs, electrocardiographs with remote ECG transmission capability, and vital signs monitoring equipment.

The ambulances will also be equipped with stretchers, infusion therapy equipment, GPS navigation systems, dashboard cameras, climate-control systems, and parking sensors. This comprehensive equipment will enable medical teams to provide emergency care more safely and effectively while patients are being transported.

In 2025, Ukrainian emergency medical teams responded to more than 4.5 million emergency calls. Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion, 495 ambulances have been destroyed or damaged, including 46 in 2026.
