The Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Mr.Leonid Kozhara, while on the official visit to Estonia, met with the Head of the Riigikogu (Parliament) of the Republic of Estonia Ms.Ene Ergma.
The parties discussed the state and prospects of the activization of the interparliamentary cooperation, agreed on the deepening of the political dialogue, in particular, at the level of the heads of parliaments of the two countries.
The Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine informed about the creation of the deputy group on the interparliamentary relations with the Republic of Estonia in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, interest of the Ukrainian side in further development of the interaction between the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the Riigikogu of the Republic of Estonia.
Ene Ergma assured of the support of the Riigikogu for the European integration course of Ukraine, in particular the necessity of signing of the Association agreement between Ukraine and the EU during the Vilnius Summit in November 2013 and its further ratification.
During the meeting the parties also discussed priority issues of the agenda of the Ukrainian-Estonian cooperation, in particular, in the trade and economic, as well as cultural and humanitarian spheres.
