Ambassador of Ukraine to Estonia Volodymyr Boiechko held a meeting with Deputy Minister of Climate of Estonia for Maritime Affairs and Water Resources Kristjan Truu.

The Ambassador thanked the Estonian side for its consistent support of Ukraine in the maritime sphere and noted the high level of bilateral cooperation.

During the meeting, the parties discussed preparations for the 34th session of the Assembly of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and stressed the importance of preventing the election of the Russian Federation to the IMO Council for the 2026–2027 term.

Separately, the importance of Estonia’s participation in the elaboration of the Action Plan for the restoration of Ukraine’s maritime infrastructure was underlined.

The interlocutors noted that cooperation in the maritime sector remains critically important and agreed to continue joint efforts to implement the aforementioned documents.

The Ukrainian side expressed its hope for the further deepening of the partnership and the successful implementation of the agreed measures.

Deputy Minister of Climate of Estonia for Maritime Affairs and Water Resources Kristjan Truu reaffirmed Estonia’s readiness to continue supporting Ukraine in matters of maritime security, sustainable development and the modernization of water resources.
