On 11 November 2025, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Estonia Volodymyr Boiechko held a meeting with the leadership of the Estonian energy company Enefit, including Management Board Members Oleksandr Yefremov and Rein Pajo, as well as the Chairman of the Management Board and Chief Executive Officer, Andrus Dureiko.

The meeting was also attended by Head of Strategic Partnerships at Eesti Energia Gerrit Mäesalu, Chairman of the Management Board of Enefit Industry AS Lauri Karp, Project Manager Eesti Energia AS Mohamed Yacine Layachi.

Volodymyr Boiechko thanked the Estonian partners for their solidarity and practical steps in support of Ukraine, and informed them about the systemic drone and missile attacks by the Russian aggressor against the critical civilian and energy infrastructure of our state.

The Estonian side reaffirmed its readiness to continue providing assistance and expressed interest in implementing joint projects, in particular in the areas of renewable generation, grid modernization, protection of critical infrastructure, and personnel training.

During the discussion, the parties considered further support for Ukraine’s energy sector, strengthening the resilience of energy infrastructure, exchanges of expertise, and opportunities for cooperation between Ukrainian and Estonian partners.

The parties agreed to maintain close dialogue and to work through further steps aimed at enhancing the energy security of Ukraine and Estonia.
