On 20 January, Ambassador of Ukraine to Estonia, Volodymyr Boiechko, held a meeting with Mayor of Tallinn, Peeter Raudsepp.
Volodymyr Boiechko congratulated Peeter Raudsepp on his appointment and briefed him on the critical situation in Ukraine’s energy sector, which has worsened following another large-scale attack by the Russian Federation.
In this context, appreciation was expressed for the assistance previously provided by the city, along with the hope for its continued support in line with Ukraine’s current needs.
During the meeting, the parties also discussed the possibility of organizing summer camps for Ukrainian children from frontline regions of Ukraine.
Particular attention was also given to the development of cultural cooperation, including the organization in Tallinn of the Ukrainian Art Festival UKUFest 2026 and the annual Odesa Classics festival.
Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their shared interest in further deepening cooperation and ensuring active dialogue at the municipal level.
