On 19 September 2025, Ambassador of Ukraine to Estonia Volodymyr Boiechko met with Estonian Minister of Defence Hanno Pevkur.

Volodymyr Boiechko expressed his gratitude to the Minister of Defence, the leadership, and the people of Estonia for their substantial and comprehensive support of Ukraine in countering Russian aggression.

During the meeting, the parties discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of defence, as well as participation in multilateral international projects.

Hanno Pevkur assured that Estonia will continue to firmly support Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression, upholding the principle of allocating at least 0.25% of GDP to military assistance to the Ukrainian state. For his part, the Ambassador expressed gratitude for Estonia’s leadership role in the IT Coalition, which is an important instrument in financing the digitalization of the Ukrainian army, as well as for Estonia’s contribution to the training of Ukrainian servicemen.

The parties discussed avenues for expanding military-technical cooperation and agreed that a leading role in this process will be played by the deepening of cooperation between Ukrainian and Estonian defense industries, particularly to meet the needs of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
