On 17 October 2025 Ambassador of Ukraine to Estonia Volodymyr Boiechko met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Estonia Margus Tsahkna.
Ambassador Boiechko expressed his sincere gratitude to Estonia for its consistent, comprehensive, and principled support for Ukraine in countering Russia’s armed aggression.
Minister Tsahkna reaffirmed Estonia’s unwavering commitment to defending Ukraine’s sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity, emphasizing that support for Ukraine remains a steadfast priority for Estonia.
During the meeting, the Ambassador of Ukraine and the Minister exchanged views on possible ways to bring Russia’s war against Ukraine to an end, achieve a just peace, and ensure accountability of the aggressor state for its crimes.
Special attention was devoted to the consequences of Russia’s massive missile attacks on Ukraine’s critical energy infrastructure.
One of the topics discussed was the Ukraine Recovery Conference, which will be hosted by Estonia in 2027.
The sides also discussed upcoming high-level contacts aimed at further advancing bilateral cooperation between Ukraine and Estonia.
Ambassador Boiechko thanked Minister Tsahkna for his participation in the meeting of the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children, held on the margins of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly. In this context, the Ambassador drew attention to the initiatives presented during the event by the First Lady of Ukraine, Mrs Olena Zelenska, and invited Estonia to join their implementation.
The Ukrainian side highly values Estonia’s steadfast, consistent, and principled stance, its active role in mobilizing international support for Ukraine, as well as its practical contribution to restoring security and stability across Europe.
