On November 17, Estonia sent 4 buses to Ukraine as humanitarian aid.
The vehicles were transferred to the Zhytomyr and Kharkiv regions.
Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Estonia Maksym Kononenko and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Estonia Margus Tsahkna took part in the ceremony of sending the buses. During his speech, Ambassador of Ukraine thanked the Government of the Republic of Estonia and the entire Estonian people for their constant support of Ukraine. “We highly appreciate your assistance in the fight against Russian aggression. Estonia was one of the first and most active partners of Ukraine in providing us with defense support and is a true leader in general humanitarian and military assistance to Ukraine on a per capita basis,” noted Maksym Kononenko.
Ambassador of Ukraine emphasized that transport infrastructure facilities are among the main targets of Russia's full-scale military aggression, and therefore every bus transferred to Ukraine is an invaluable aid for our citizens, which helps them in everyday life, and also creates the necessary conditions for the return of temporarily displaced citizens to their homes in Ukraine.
The buses were kindly provided by Estonian private donors in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Estonia.
We thank our Estonian friends for their strong support of Ukraine!
