Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Estonia Volodymyr Boiechko visited Ukrainian children from the Odesa region who are spending their summer holidays at the Tuksi Children's Camp in Estonia as part of the partnership between the cities of Odesa and Tallinn.

For the fourth consecutive year, Tuksi Camp has warmly welcomed Ukrainian children not only from the Odesa region, but also from other parts of Ukraine, including the Kherson, Sumy and Rivne regions, as well as other cities. The camp provides them with an opportunity to rest and recover, make new friends, and, at least for a while, take their minds off the hardships and horrors of Russia's war against Ukraine.

During the warm and heartfelt meeting, the children enthusiastically shared their experiences at the camp, spoke about the sports and creative activities they had enjoyed, the new friendships they had made, and their plans for the coming days. They are also looking forward to exciting excursions to Haapsalu and Tallinn.

The Ambassador spoke with the children, answered their many questions, and wished them a wonderful stay, joyful summer memories, new friendships, unforgettable holidays, and, above all, a swift return to peaceful life in Ukraine. At the children's request, he signed Ukrainian flags, and the meeting concluded with a group photo to commemorate the occasion.

The meeting was also attended by Ms Riina Kuusik-Rajasaar, Chief Officer of Partner Cities and Ukraine Cooperation at the City Diplomacy and Communications Department of the City of Tallinn. She coordinates partnership initiatives between Tallinn and Ukrainian cities and has made a significant contribution to organizing recreational and rehabilitation programmes for Ukrainian children.

The Ambassador expressed his sincere appreciation to Ms Kuusik-Rajasaar for her professionalism, compassion, and unwavering commitment to supporting Ukraine and advancing Ukrainian cultural and humanitarian initiatives.

The children received gifts and sweets from the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Estonia and the City of Tallinn.

Initiatives such as this are a powerful example of Estonia's genuine solidarity with Ukraine and a testament to the fact that the friendship between our nations is built not only on political support, but also on sincere care for people – especially for children.
