On 4 April 2025, representatives of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Estonia took part in the Regional Event on Artificial Intelligence held in Tallinn at the initiative of the UK Science & Technology Network.

The event brought together over 100 participants, including leading experts, government officials, and representatives of academic circles from the United Kingdom, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, and Ukraine. The participants discussed national AI development strategies, access to AI technologies, approaches to the implementation of innovation, as well as international standards and regulatory mechanisms in this sphere.

The programme featured a panel discussion with the participation of prominent experts from various countries. Ukraine was represented by Olena Andriyenko, a member of the Committee on Artificial Intelligence, who presented Ukraine's achievements and vision regarding the development of digital technologies and the country's integration into the European and global AI landscape. Other panellists included Dr. Florian Ostmann from The Alan Turing Institute, Philip Young from Digital Catapult, Mikael Ljungblom from AI Sweden, Sara El-Khanfi from Innovate UK, Dr. Sven Nym from Tallinn University of Technology, as well as His Excellency Ross Allen, Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Estonia.

The event served as an important platform for strengthening international partnerships, exchanging experiences and best practices, and promoting active dialogue among the countries of Northern Europe, which share the United Kingdom's proactive approach to artificial intelligence development.
