On January 9, 2025, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Estonia, Maksym Kononenko, conducted a regional visit to the city of Rakvere, during which he held a series of meetings with representatives of the Estonian business community. Among the participants were Oleg Ross (OG Elektra AS), Andres Jaadla (Estonian Union of Housing Associations EKYL), and Rolf Relander (BELLUS FURNITURE OÜ).
During the meetings, Ambassador of Ukraine Maksym Kononenko expressed heartfelt gratitude for the support Estonian entrepreneurs have provided to Ukraine and to Ukrainian temporary replaced persons who arrived in Estonia following the full-scale Russian invasion. As a gesture of appreciation, each business representative was presented with a certificate of gratitude on behalf of the Ambassador.
Special attention was given to discussing opportunities for deepening cooperation. Ambassador of Ukraine Maksym Kononenko highlighted key initiatives being implemented in Ukraine to improve the business climate, including the "Nazovni" system—a platform to support Ukrainian exports, the "Investment Nannies" project aimed at assisting strategic investors, and the program for establishing industrial parks in Ukraine, which will serve as hubs for modern production development.
The Estonian representatives reaffirmed their solidarity with Ukraine and their readiness to continue supporting the country. They also expressed hope for the swift end of the war and the full restoration of Ukraine's territorial integrity.
Ukraine and Estonia continue to develop a strategic partnership based on mutual support, trust, and a shared vision of a European future.
