Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha held a phone call with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Estonia Margus Tsahkna.
During the conversation, Andrii Sybiha briefed his Estonian counterpart on the consequences of Russia’s recent massive attack on Ukrainian civilians and critical energy infrastructure.
The Minister emphasized that strengthening Ukraine’s air defense, ensuring additional supplies of modern weaponry, and maintaining robust sanctions are essential to sustaining international pressure on Russia and enhancing Ukraine’s resilience.
Andrii Sybiha expressed gratitude to Estonia for its support of the recent European Council decision to provide €90 billion in financial assistance to Ukraine in 2026–2027, as well as for the EU’s decision to keep frozen Russian assets blocked until Russia ends its war and pays reparations to Ukraine.
The parties paid special attention to future security guarantees for Ukraine and the broader European security architecture.
They also agreed on the importance to maintain the dynamics of the peace process and use the current momentum to bring closer a just and lasting peace.
Andrii Sybiha thanked Margus Tsahkna for his personal efforts and principled stance in support of Ukraine and shared values.
