Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha had a productive call with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Estonia, Margus Tsahkna.

The sides discussed current issues of bilateral and international engagement. The Minister expressed appreciation to Estonia for its leadership and comprehensive support for Ukraine, including its role as coordinator of the Nordic-Baltic Eight this year, and noted the consistent personal position of the Estonian Foreign Minister.

Andrii Sybiha briefed his counterpart on the latest developments on the battlefield. Particular attention during the conversation was paid to further strengthening defence cooperation, in particular enhancing Ukraine’s air defence capabilities.

The parties also discussed advancing the accession negotiation process for Ukraine’s membership in the European Union. Ukraine expects the opening of all six negotiation clusters in the near future and counts on continued support from Estonia in this process.

The ministers also coordinated their positions ahead of upcoming international engagements, focusing on achieving practical results to strengthen Ukraine’s capabilities across various sectors.
