During the meeting, the Ambassador informed the Chairman of the Committee about the security situation in Ukraine in the context of the russian federation's war against Ukraine. The parties discussed the issue of Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine, as well as the continuation of Ukraine's military support from both Estonia and EU and NATO partner countries. The issue of russia's responsibility for war crimes in Ukraine and the creation of a Special Tribunal on the crime of russian aggression against Ukraine was discussed as well.

The Ambassador thanked the Estonian side for the largest military aid package for Ukraine since the beginning of the war, adopted by Estonia on January 19, 2023.
