During the discussion, Ambassador Maksym Kononenko informed the Chairman of the Committee about the situation in Ukraine in the context of the ongoing war of the Russian Federation against our state. The parties discussed the agenda of interparliamentary cooperation, in particular, the further provision of humanitarian and military aid to Ukraine, support for Ukraine's accession to the EU and NATO. A separate topic of conversation was joint counteraction to Russian propaganda on the territory of Estonia.

Ambassador Maksym Kononenko expressed his gratitude to the Riigikogu and, especially, the Foreign Affairs Committee for the constant active support of Ukraine and the leadership role of Estonian parliamentarians in making important decisions to support Ukraine in the fight against Russian military aggression, which is an example for the parliaments of other countries.
