Today, a solemn ceremony of raising the State Flag of Ukraine took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia on the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of Ukraine's Independence. The event featured the participation of Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Estonia, H.E. Mr. Margus Tsahkna, and Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Estonia, H.E. Mr. Maksym Kononenko.

Special guests participated in the event: three large families for whom the Estonian side is building houses in the Zhytomyr region, and Ukrainian soldiers undergoing rehabilitation in one of Tallinn’s clinics. Makar (8 years old) and Maria (8 years old), along with Margus Tsahkna and Maksym Kononenko, raised the Ukrainian flag.

Also present at the ceremony were representatives of the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the diplomatic corps, and the Ukrainian diaspora.
