Today, April 26, 2024 the cycling marathon titled 'Ride for the Victory!' from Tallinn to Kyiv with the participation of Riigikogu Member (Estonian Parliament) Kristo Enn Vaga started.
The Estonian deputy plans to personally cycle from Estonia to Ukraine (~1700 km) within a week. The purpose of the cycling marathon is to urge the public to continue supporting Ukraine comprehensively and to raise funds for the purchase of off-road vehicles and drones for the Ukrainian military.
Before the start of the cycling marathon at Freedom Square in Tallinn, Ambassador of Ukraine to the Estonian Republic Maksym Kononenko thanked the Estonian deputy for supporting Ukraine and emphasized the importance of drawing public attention to the need to support Ukraine in its struggle against russian aggression. The Ambassador commended his determination and courage, as the distance of the cycling marathon is quite long and challenging, requiring concentration and physical endurance. However, Kristo was a professional athlete, he has overcome even greater obstacles.
The Ambassador wished all the participants of the cycling marathon a safe journey and favorable weather.
