The 19th Annual International Christmas Charity Bazaar, organized by the International Women's Club of Tallinn, took place on November 30th at T1 Mall in Tallinn, in a warm and cozy atmosphere.
The opening ceremony of the event featured the participation of Minister of Social Affairs of Estonia, Signe Riisalo, and President of the International Women's Club of Tallinn, Ayse Akin. In her speech, Signe Riisalo urged everyone not to forget the children of Ukraine who are suffering due to the war and emphasized the importance of providing them with support.
The Embassy of Ukraine in Estonia and the Ukrainian Women's Association of Estonia were responsible for organizing the Ukrainian stand.
The stand showcased Wines From Ukraine and a variety of traditional dishes from all corners of Ukraine: Lviv cheesecakes, verguns, potato dumplings with meat, poppy seed crepes, royal layer cake, homemade pastries, varenyky (dumplings), uzvar (dried fruit drink), varenukha, and much more.
All funds raised during the bazaar will be directed towards the rehabilitation of Mykhailo Volovykov, a young boy from Kherson who was injured during an attack by Russian "Shaheds" and is currently undergoing a long-term recovery process.
The preparation of the Ukrainian stand was the result of the collective efforts of dedicated volunteers and several organizations. We sincerely thank everyone who contributed to cooking the dishes, organizing, and participating in the charity fair.
