On 13 January, Ambassador of Ukraine to Estonia Mr Volodymyr Boiechko held a meeting with Director of the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence (NATO CCDCOE) Mr Tõnis Saar. The sides discussed current areas of cooperation in cyber defence and cyber resilience, as well as further joint steps in view of the growing scope and increasing complexity of today’s cyber threats.
The Director of the Centre emphasized NATO CCDCOE’s unwavering support for Ukraine and stressed the importance of a максимально practical approach to preparation and training that should correspond to real-world challenges. In this context, it was noted that Ukraine’s experience can be useful for improving training approaches and preparing partners for complex crisis scenarios.
Volodymyr Boiechko thanked the Centre for its support and contribution to strengthening Ukraine’s resilience and proposed launching an expert format of engagement that would enable Ukrainian specialists, together with partners, to develop practical materials and solutions to counter real threats. Tõnis Saar supported this initiative and expressed readiness to facilitate its advancement and to apply the outcomes in the Centre’s future activities.
The sides also discussed further contacts and the participation of Ukrainian representatives in the Centre’s events. The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of their shared commitment to continue and deepen cooperation.
