Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Andrii Sybiha, held an important telephone conversation with his colleague, Minister Margus Tsahkna, as Estonia is set to assume the coordinating role within the Nordic-Baltic Eight (NB8) in 2026.
Andrii Sybiha briefed Margus Tsahkna in detail on Russia’s latest brutal attack on Ukraine, which once again deliberately targeted civilians and critical infrastructure.
They discussed concrete steps to ensure a strong and coordinated response to Russia’s ongoing terror, with a particular focus on urgently strengthening Ukraine’s air defense.
The Minister expressed his gratitude to Margus Tsahkna for his personal leadership and steadfast commitment to mobilizing maximum support for Ukraine.
Ukraine attaches great importance to further advancing cooperation with the Nordic-Baltic countries and highly appreciates their principled, consistent, and meaningful support.
The parties also coordinated their bilateral contacts and joint efforts to bring closer a just and lasting peace for the whole of Europe.
