Ambassador of Ukraine to Estonia Volodymyr Boiechko held a meeting with the Rector of Tallinn University, Professor Priit Reiska.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Ambassador briefed the Rector on Russia’s latest massive attack against Kyiv, which resulted in numerous civilian casualties, left dozens of people injured, and caused extensive damage to civilian infrastructure. He stressed that Russia continues to deliberately terrorize Ukrainian cities and the civilian population.

Ambassador of Ukraine to Estonia Volodymyr Boiechko expressed his sincere gratitude to Professor Priit Reiska and the entire team of Tallinn University for the excellent organization of the meeting between the First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska, and the rectors of Estonian universities, as well as the ceremony marking the signing of the Memoranda on the accession of five Estonian universities to the Global Coalition of Ukrainian Studies.

The meeting also highlighted the dynamic development of inter-university cooperation. In particular, the parties noted the visit of the delegation from the School of Humanities of Tallinn University to Ukraine in March 2026, as well as the Ukrainian language course launched in 2023, which today successfully brings together Estonian and international students.

Volodymyr Boiechko expressed his hope that Tallinn University would continue to serve as an important platform for Ukrainian–Estonian academic dialogue, and that cooperation between the Embassy of Ukraine and the University would continue to expand through new joint educational, research, and cultural projects.
