On 5 September 2025 Ambassador of Ukraine to Estonia Volodymyr Boiechko held a meeting with Gert Antsu, Director for Ukraine, Moldova and South Caucasus at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia.

It was particularly symbolic that the meeting at the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs was conducted in Ukrainian. Gert Antsu, who previously served as Estonia’s Ambassador to Ukraine, is fluent in Ukrainian, which reflects profound respect for our country, its language and culture.

Volodymyr Boiechko expressed sincere gratitude to the Government and people of Estonia for their comprehensive and consistent support of Ukraine since the very first days of Russia’s full-scale aggression.

During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on the priorities and tasks for the near future. These include the further strengthening of defence cooperation, joint efforts to ensure effective security guarantees for Ukraine, advancing Ukraine’s European and Euro-Atlantic integration, and supporting Ukraine’s recovery.

Volodymyr Boiechko and Gert Antsu also discussed cooperation within international formats aimed at supporting Ukraine.

Special attention was devoted to the organization of a series of visits to both Ukraine and Estonia, which will contribute to the practical cooperation in priority areas.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the partnership between Ukraine and Estonia, based on trust and a shared vision of Europe’s future as a space of peace, stability, and development.
