On January 15, 2026, the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Estonia Volodymyr Boiechko held a meeting with representatives of the Estonian Centre for International Development (ESTDEV).
Participating from the Estonian side were Head of Operations Andrea Kiiv, Head of Cooperation and Development for Ukraine Margus Gehring, Project Coordinator (EU Eastern Neighbourhood) Ivan Kostenko, and Communications Expert Erko Litvjakov, while the Embassy of Ukraine in Estonia was represented by First Secretary Maksym Kuvyklin.
ESTDEV representatives provided detailed information on recent projects that have already been implemented, as well as those planned for completion or initiation in 2026.
The parties discussed current areas of cooperation and further joint measures for Ukraine's recovery and reconstruction, including: strengthening community capacity, human capital development, digital transformation, support for entrepreneurship, modernization and construction of social infrastructure facilities and bomb shelters, training and other programs promoting reforms in the context of Ukraine's European integration.
Volodymyr Boiechko thanked ESTDEV for its consistent and extensive assistance to our country and emphasized the importance of implementing projects aimed at Ukraine's long-term recovery.
The Estonian side reaffirmed its unwavering support for Ukraine and readiness to continue assistance with reconstruction and recovery, primarily in Zhytomyr Oblast. The possibility of providing practical assistance from Estonia to other regions of Ukraine is also being considered.
The parties agreed to maintain regular dialogue and coordination.
